Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Answerly (answerly.help). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

Answerly is an AI help center platform that turns your documentation into an answer engine, generates llms.txt files, and provides an AI support bot. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

2. Accounts

• You register with a valid email address and are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and must keep your account information accurate and current.
• One account per person or organization. Don't share, sell, or transfer your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old, or have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction, to use the service.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the documentation you upload. You grant us a limited license solely to host and serve it as part of the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the content you import.

4. Plans & payments

• Paid plans are billed monthly as described on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider, Waffo, which acts as merchant of record.
• Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase. If a charge was made in error, contact us and we will make it right.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Host, publish, or distribute content that is unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, or obscene, or that infringes others' rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
• Upload content you do not own or have permission to use.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or related systems; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service; or bypass quotas, rate limits, or access restrictions.
• Disrupt or interfere with the service, including through denial-of-service attacks, scraping at scale, or placing disproportionate load on our infrastructure.
• Resell or sublicense access to the service without our prior written consent, or misrepresent the service as your own product.
• Use the service for spamming, phishing, cryptocurrency mining, or any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Circumvent account suspension or termination measures, including by creating new accounts after being terminated.

6. Violations & account termination

We take the integrity of the service and safety of our users seriously. If you violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use policy, we may take action against your account as described below.

• Investigation. We may investigate suspected violations at any time. During an investigation, we may temporarily suspend your account or limit specific features to prevent further harm.
• Warnings. For minor or first-time violations, we will typically notify you by email and ask you to correct the issue within a stated period.
• Suspension & feature limits. For repeated or serious violations, we may suspend your account or restrict access to specific features (such as the AI answer engine, content import, or API endpoints) either temporarily or permanently.
• Termination. For severe violations, illegal use, fraud, abuse of our refund policy, or continued violations after warnings, we may permanently terminate your account and delete your content. Where permitted by law, no refund will be issued for unused subscription time on accounts terminated for abuse.
• Content removal. We may remove or disable access to content hosted through the service that violates these Terms, without prior notice where necessary to prevent harm.
• Appeals. If your account has been suspended or terminated and you believe this was a mistake, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days. We will review your appeal and respond within a reasonable time. Our decision on appeal is final, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
• Effect of termination. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. You can export your documentation content before termination takes effect where technically feasible; after deletion, residual copies are removed from our systems within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. AI-generated answers may contain errors and should not be treated as the sole source of truth for your documentation.

8. Changes & termination by you

You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time via [email protected]. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new “last updated” date, and continued use of the service after a change takes effect means acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
